How much does IT support cost for a small business in South Africa?
IT support for a small business is usually charged per hour. At iTrn, plans start from R550 excl. per hour of support, whether it be remote or on-site. The hourly rates for coding support / server support vary from standard labour rates.
What is remote computer support?
Remote computer support means a technician fixes your computer, email or software over a secure internet connection, without visiting your office. It is usually faster and cheaper than an on-site visit. Most software, email, network and security issues can be resolved remotely.
How fast is your IT support response time?
Do you offer on-site IT support in Johannesburg?
Yes. Most issues are solved remotely, but we send a technician when a job needs hands-on attention, such as hardware faults or network installations. On-site visits are quoted separately. Is remote IT support secure?
Yes, when it is done properly. Remote sessions use encrypted connections, and we only connect to your devices with your permission. We also check security settings such as updates and antivirus as part of our support plans.

What is the difference between web hosting and email hosting?
Web hosting stores your website files so people can visit your site. Email hosting runs your business email addresses, such as info@yourcompany.co.za. They can be bought together or separately, and iTrn offers both. Choose a hosting package that suits you!.
How much storage do I need for my website and email?
Most small business websites use well under 10GB, while email storage grows as mailboxes fill up. Our plans start at 10GB, with 20GB available and custom sizes for larger businesses. You can upgrade at any time.
Do you offer free website migration?
Yes. We help move your website and email from your current host, and we plan the switch to avoid downtime.
Do your hosting plans include backups and SSL?
Yes. Every plan includes daily backups, an SSL certificate, and spam and virus filtering. This keeps your site secure and lets you restore it if something goes wrong. Choose a hosting package that suits you!.

How long does it take to build a website?
A starter 3-page website usually takes 7-14 working days from when we receive your content. Larger sites and online stores take longer, depending on the number of pages and products.
What do I need to provide to start a website?
You provide your logo, a description of your business, your services and any photos. We can use stock images if needed, and we register the domain for you if required.
Will my website rank on Google?
A well-built site gives you a strong start, but nobody can guarantee rankings. We set up the basics that search engines look for, including fast loading, mobile design, correct page titles, schema markup and Search Console. Rankings also depend on competition and ongoing content.

How long does a laptop repair quote take?
After a device assessment, we send a repair or replacement quote within 48 hours. You approve the quote before any work starts.
Is it better to repair or replace an old laptop?
It depends on the fault and the age of the device. If the repair costs more than about half the price of a comparable new machine, or the laptop is more than 5 years old, replacing it is often the better choice. We’ll give you an honest recommendation either way.
